Monday Night Musings

WHAT’S ON MY MIND

My growing RC family. I finished the newly built “Aqua” over the weekend, and I now have this lovely Traxxas 1/18 scale Ford Bronco in Cyber Orange that I named “Darkness”. I’m a big KonoSuba fan, can’t you tell?

I’m also thinking about upgrades. Rose needs a stronger motor due to her weight, and her current motor will be installed on Aqua after the new one arrives. Darkness requires 53mm Injora shocks to remedy torque twist, and I’m seriously considering a “from scratch” build using upgraded parts and her detachable body.

WHERE I’VE BEEN

The hobby shop. I needed a special glue to reattach Rossweisse’s (aka the Maverick DOHA) tires to the wheels over the weekend.

WHERE I’M GOING

Somewhere or nowhere. Things are up in the air right now for various reasons. Anyway…

WHAT I’M WATCHING

YouTube clips where people, mostly young women, learn actions have consequences. While I detest most forms of stupidity, there are times when it’s quite entertaining to watch.

WHAT I’M READING

I barely read this past week, so now I have a glut of manga to work through.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

The Offspring. I saw this YouTube video of a live performance of “The Kids Aren’t Alright” and I have to agree with them. 28 years after Americana was released, those same kids and now their own children still aren’t alright.

WHAT I’M EATING

I was dry during the heat wave, so I didn’t enjoy any exciting food pairings. Moving on…

SLAPS WHOLESALE

Five slaps — ABC, for promoting degeneracy. There’s no other term I can use to describe twenty two men competing for the chance to date a violent cheater with three kids from two different fathers.

Four slaps — Crunchyroll, for a data breach they didn’t acknowledge for nine days. I canceled my sub last month, and the virtual credit card I had on file can’t be used elsewhere. There’s no pending charges on it so I’m probably okay.

WHO GETS A FIST BUMP

No one.

WHAT I’M PLANNING

An overnight trip to Temecula Valley next month. I’ve already bought my ticket for a winery event, and I’ve used my points to book a hotel room at the usual place. If for some reason the event is canceled, I’m still going. I’ll just have a late lunch at the restaurant then linger in the tasting room until I can check into my hotel.

WHAT MADE ME SMILE

Baseball season is here, and so is cooler weather. Go Padres!
