The Octopus Slayer

Daishi braised grilled octopus with a glass of Wild Yeast Viognier was so scrumptious that I ordered a second glass to fully savor this dish. I also may or may not have enjoyed myself a little too much in the tasting room afterward.

Please don't pry into my business regarding that matter. As former Rainbow singer Joe Lynn Turner once sang on the tune "Jealous Lover", ask me no question and I'll tell you no lies.

  1. That looks amazing. I haven't had octopus in a number of years.
It sounds like you're enjoying your trip!

  2. I could never in a million years eat octopus. But that's just me...I am a pseudo vegetarian who only eats meat occasionally and that's just chicken. I know a lot of people who love octopus...I am just one of the outliers!

    1. Wanna hear something funny? Until the daishi basting and ponzu sauce hit my palette I thought it tasted like chicken!

  3. I think that I would have a problem with the tentacles!

    1. I thought I would too but when it's cooked it all pretty much has the same texture. That surprised me a little.
