A Post Birthday Meal
Yesterday I had this lovely lunch at Meritage. Gigli pasta in a creamy pesto sauce with mushrooms. I paid extra to add shrimp to the meal, and when it was matched with a Rousanne it was both comfort food and a culinary delight.
I'll describe it... I visited Rosa's across the parking lot to try their three burrito dinner meal. It's three small burritos filled with grilled steak cooked medium rare. Lettuce and diced tomatoes are offered on the side, so I added those and Del Taco's Del Inferno sauce to punch up the heat.
When this was paired with the leftover GSM wine from Tuesday night it was an adventurous but fulfilling pairing. I would love to do that again someday.
Maybe in three weeks?
