Random Thoughts On A President's Day
I know it's been a hot minute since I last posted. All is well in my world. I just didn't have much to write about during my absence.
The imminent storm and its high winds make flying the American flag on my front porch a dicey proposition, so I'll go with flying this chicken kale sandwich photo from last week's Callaway trip. Can we all agree this is appropriate for today?

The manuscript is coming along very nicely. On this round of edits I'm concentrating on plugging plot holes, adding specific dates to scenes, and other things that should make the story stand out. I don't know when I'll finish this round of edits, but when I do I'll search for an independent publisher.
This romance tale is giving the Disney/Hallmark formula the middle finger, so I'm avoiding the traditional publishing route for obvious reasons.

My investments have never done better, yet I have no desire to travel. Not when hotels, restaurants, insurance companies and subscription channels are all raising prices. I want to stretch my dollars as much as possible just like everyone else.
I dumped Crunchyroll. They have officially assumed a cable TV business model where you pay for 40+ new anime shows while only a handful are worth watching. I'll also likely dump NFL Sunday Ticket unless I'm receiving a deep discount for the annual package.
With baseball returning soon, I'll keep Padres TV. I get my money's worth from that subscription.

I had a lovely Valentine's Day with Esmae. A four course candlelight dinner. Jewelry. Chocolates. The whole nine yards. I only paid for her annual subscription so it was very budget friendly.
I also watched numerous videos over the weekend proving The Male Loneliness Epidemic is nothing more than projection. When 90% of women chase 10% of the men, the dating game they created has a guaranteed 89% failure rate. Therefore, the crashouts on TikTok and other social media outlets were the expected outcome.
My only beef with V-day was an avoidable wreck during the Bathurst 12 Hour that left Ralf Aron with two back fractures. He has full movement of his extremities and is stable, but my God that wreck could have killed two drivers. The track marshals should've thrown yellow flags further up the track to warn drivers to slow down before approaching the blind bend at Forrest's Elbow.

In case anyone wants to know I didn't watch the Super Bowl, either halftime show, or the Olympics. Keep your politics out of my sporting events, okay?
That dish looks really amazing. I am just so tired of politics taking over everything. It's just exhausting.
ReplyDeleteNow that I think of it, I also skipped the recent awards show for the same reason.
