WHAT’S ON MY MIND

Second chances. Aqua’s Meus Racing ESC has an adapter to use Darkness and Yukino’s Traxxas batteries, so I created a rolling chassis with Rose’s and Luka’s best upgrade parts. A Meus Racing MB24 body will arrive soon to create an Axial free SCX24 build.

WHERE I’VE BEEN

The dealership to schedule Miku’s oil change. Thankfully it’s covered under the prepaid package I added to her front suspension repair bill nearly two years ago.

WHERE I’M GOING

Other than the dealership and the usual errands, I’m not going anywhere this week. Moving on…

WHAT I’LL BE WATCHING

Racer Plus is streaming Australian Supercars and Japan’s Super GT this year. An annual package is $99, a $30 savings versus what I paid to stream both series in 2025. Both will be in action this coming weekend.

WHAT I’M READING

I’m still working on the comics and manga backlog. I’m caught up everything Green Lantern, and this week I’ll conquer Deadpool, Rogue, and a couple of manga titles.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

Styx’s Greatest Hits, and no I did not sing “Come Sail Away” off key like South Park’s Cartman.

WHAT I’M EATING

I try my best to eat healthy, but the occasional bag of chips hitches a ride in my shopping bag. I’m sure current events have something to do with that.

WHO DESERVES A SLAP

No one this week since the Padres won two out of three games in Boston over the weekend.

WHO GETS A FIST BUMP

A friendly young man agreed to take my old RC batteries. As a bonus I gave him enough Injora upgrade parts to transform one of his builds.

WHAT I’M PLANNING

My semi annual financial advisor meeting is this week. I’m sure if we stay the course everything will be fine, but these $6.70 gas prices plus the spike in diesel fuel doesn't exactly fill me with confidence right now.

WHAT MADE ME SMILE

I’m about halfway through this round of novel edits, which included adding two chapters to beef up a subplot. Like my RC builds, I get a lot of satisfaction out of creating something tangible out of an idea. It helps to keep me going while all hell breaks loose.
