And So It Begins
When I bought the Dodge Power Wagon a few days ago, I knew I'd slip down the upgrade rabbit hole. I had no idea where to begin, so I started where most people do -- the wheels.
On the left is a stock wheel, and beside it is a Treal wheel whose six slots mimics the steel wheels of the time period.
While I'm thrilled with how much better the Power Wagon looks with the Treal wheels, I'm not stopping there with the upgrades and modifications.A few hours ago I assembled this Injora carbon fiber chassis, then added their skid plate and rock sliders with attached sidesteps. I've decided to go all out, just like that time a decade ago when I built my own PC gaming rig.I'm in the process of shopping for additional parts and I hope to have this build finished by next Wednesday. The Power Wagon body and its electronic speed controller/receiver should be the only stock parts that will carry over to this chassis.
Please don't mind me for geeking out over building an RC car. This is the first time I've worked on any car since forever. Let me enjoy this!
I think it's a great way to spend some time. It looks really awesome.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I was very young my dad used to put together model cars piece by piece. He had some really cool ones. Have a great day!!
Thanks, and I hope you have a great day as well!
